Babylon, The US―Like Sodom and Gomorrah

Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the horses’ heads resembled lions’ heads. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur. Revelation 9:17

In this scripture, we read about breastplates. In Exodus 28:29, we read about the breastplate of judgment worn by Aaron. The breastplates in Revelation 9 represent God’s judgment.

The Bible speaks of Babylon, and she has her own chapter in Revelation 18. But who is Babylon the great city? Whoever Babylon represents, she’s going to be made like Sodom and Gomorrah.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (Revelation 18:4)

The good news is that Jesus Christ is coming. The bad news is that catastrophic events are probably on the horizon for the United States. Ultimately, the whole world is going down, but the US isn’t going down on top. Let’s begin in the book of Isaiah:

But disaster will come upon you; you will not know how to charm it away. A calamity will befall you that you will be unable to ward off. Devastation will happen to you suddenly and unexpectedly. (Isaiah 47:11; cf. Revelation 18:8)

As just another empire that has come and gone throughout history, the United States could be a type of Babylon, and Babylon the great could represent the entire world, as when a new world order comes. The earth has seven continents, and so does Rome. So, we might compare the seven hills of Rome to the seven continents of the earth. We could say the continents are symbolized by the seven heads of the dragon, which represent seven hills upon which the harlot sits, and the seven hills represent seven kings (see Revelation 17:9). In Revelation 11:8, Jerusalem is called the great city, and it has seven hills as well:

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore. (Psalm 125:2)

It’s a good theory that Babylon could represent the pride and self-indulgence of the world. But in the oracle on Babylon in Jeremiah, we read something that doesn’t fit with the theory of Babylon being the entire world:

At the sound of the capture of Babylon the earth shall tremble, and her cry shall be heard among the nations.” (Jeremiah 50:46)

This prophecy says the ancient city of Babylon was captured. So, in the future, can the whole world or a new world order be captured? Does the future Babylon the great even represent a new world order? Whatever the case, “the sound” of Babylon being captured might be the angel crying out, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!” from Revelation 18:2.

Look, here come the riders, horsemen in pairs.” And one answered, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon! All the images of her gods lie shattered on the ground!” (Isaiah 21:9)

We read about the fall of Babylon the great in Revelation 18:2, but it actually happens in chapter 14:

A second angel followed and said, “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’ which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.” (Revelation 14:8)

The text simply needs space to write out the details which we see in chapter 18. After the second angel announces the fall of Babylon, the third angel warns people not to take the mark of the beast:

9 And a third angel followed them, calling out in a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image, and receives its mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he too will drink the wine of God’s anger, poured undiluted into the cup of His wrath. And he will be tormented in fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” (Revelation 14:9-11)

If anyone takes the mark of the beast, it means eternal torment in hell. The fall of Babylon the great occurs during the mark of the beast time period.

Catastrophic events are most likely coming to the United States. The US may suffer a catastrophic natural disaster and then be attacked with nuclear weapons while vulnerable. September 11, 2001 was a warning. God will eventually hand the US over to her enemies because of the increasing rebellion and lawlessness. The United States was founded by God, and it used to trust in God, as it says on the back of US currency:

Note the resemblance to a mushroom cloud behind the Lincoln Memorial.

In the book of Revelation, Babylon has sovereignty over the kings of the earth, much like the United States has today. We might take this to mean that the US is the most powerful nation in the world, militarily and economically. Babylon’s sovereignty can be seen in the imagery of the harlot riding the scarlet beast.

Babylon was a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, making all the earth drunken; the nations drank of her wine, therefore the nations went mad. (Isaiah 51:7; cf. Revelation 18:3)

This is the reverse of a Pope Leo XII coin from the Papal mint, 1825. Note the cup in the right hand and the cross in the left hand. The Latin reads, “Sedet super universum.” It translates to, “Seated over all.” The Statue of Liberty came to the United States more than 60 years after this coin was minted. Did Bartholdi get his idea for the Statue of Liberty from this coin, or did he get it from the sun god Mithra? The seven spikes on the coin and on the pagan god Mithra represent the sun’s rays. The seven spikes on the Statue of Liberty represent the seven continents and the seven seas but could also represent the sun’s rays as well.
Mithra

In Zechariah 5:5-11, a basket (or ephah) appears. Inside the basket is the iniquity of the land. This iniquity is symbolized by a woman. Her name is Wickedness. Over her is a lead weight (a heavy, worthless metal that melts at a relatively low heat) to keep her in the basket. She is carried away by two women with wings of a stork. The basket full of wickedness is flown to Shinar (Babylonia) where a temple is built for her. And there, Wickedness is worshiped.

The bellows blow fiercely, blasting away the lead with fire. The refining proceeds in vain, for the wicked are not purged. (Jeremiah 6:29)

Doesn’t much of the United States worship Wickedness? Doesn’t most of the world? What about abortion? What about sexual immorality? What about human trafficking, that is, slavery (see Revelation 18:13). The US leads the world in slavery. The term human trafficking is just a nice way of putting it. What about violence, pride, and greed? Aren’t these things the abominations of the earth? The love of money is the root of all evil. Money is the god of this land, and just about every evil comes from the desire for riches. Greed is idolatry (see Ephesians 5:5 and Colossians 3:5).

THE GREAT CITY

We know that Jerusalem is called the great city, and Jerusalem and Babylon are referred to in the feminine as we read in Jeremiah 50:9.

And the woman that you saw is the great city which has dominion over the kings of the earth.” (Revelation 17:18)

This scripture says the woman is the great city. The following scripture says the great city was “where their Lord was also crucified,” which is Jerusalem:

Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city—figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where their Lord was also crucified. (Revelation 11:8)

Let’s compare this with the following scripture:

Then a mighty angel picked up a stone the size of a great millstone and cast it into the sea, saying: “With such violence the great city of Babylon will be cast down, never to be seen again. (Revelation 18:21)

In this scripture, Babylon is the great city, and in the previous scripture, it says “the great city…where their Lord was also crucified,” which is Jerusalem. Yet, Revelation 18:21 says the great city Babylon is “never to be seen again.” This being the case, let’s read a prophecy from Zechariah in regard to Jerusalem:

People will live there, and never again will there be an utter destruction. So Jerusalem will dwell securely. (Zecheriah 14:11)

So, there will be an “utter destruction.” But unlike Babylon, Jerusalem will be seen again. It will dwell securely. So, is this prophecy speaking of the millennial reign of Christ or the new Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven from God in Revelation 21:2?

Let’s move on with this scripture:

She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son. (1 Peter 5:13)

When the apostle Peter says Babylon, is he talking about Rome or Jerusalem?

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Revelation 17:5)

This scripture says, “The mother of harlots.” If Babylon is the mother of harlots and Jerusalem is the “faithful city,” then we know that Peter is talking about Jerusalem.

See how the faithful city has become a harlot! She once was full of justice; righteousness resided within her, but now only murderers! (Isaiah 1:21)

Babylon “the great city,” whether people choose to believe it’s Rome or Jerusalem, could represent the United States using double fulfillment.

What has been will be again, and what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

The name Babylon is highly symbolic and can represent an empire or a religious system. Let’s also keep in mind that Babylon is a complicated topic and there’s even “daughter” Babylon, so let’s always use discernment. Let’s continue:

18 And there were flashes of lightning, and rumblings, and peals of thunder, and a great earthquake the likes of which had not occurred since men were upon the earth—so mighty was the great quake. 19 The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. And God remembered Babylon the great and gave her the cup of the wine of the fury of His wrath. (Revelation 16:18-19)

Verse 19 says the “great city” and “Babylon the great.” Is this scripture speaking of the same city or two different cities? Let’s read the following scripture again:

And the woman that you saw is the great city which has dominion over the kings of the earth.” (Revelation 17:18)

This scripture says the woman is the great city. She is called the “great prostitute” in 17:1. Who is the woman again? The woman is Babylon the great, the mother of harlots and of earth’s abominations, as it says on her forehead.

A name on the forehead symbolizes our foremost thoughts. Are these thoughts of Jesus Christ, as with the seal the angel puts on the foreheads of the 144,000 in Revelation 7:3? The mark of the beast will be on the right hand or forehead. The second beast will be allowed to put to death anyone who doesn’t worship the beast or its image or anyone who doesn’t accept the mark of its name (see Revelation 13:11-15). God gives eternal life to anyone who worships him through Jesus Christ.

The new world might be born out of desperation from cataclysmic event such as nuclear war or climate change. This beast-system will be imposed on the people left on earth. Sadly, most people will be eagerly standing in line to take the mark of the beast. In order to be saved from eternal destruction, those subjected to the final test, those who are not gathered to Jesus at his coming, must call on the Lord Jesus Christ and refuse to accept the Mark, which could be an RFID chip in the right hand or a smart tattoo that allows people to buy and sell. We’re not exactly sure what the mark will be, but technology is getting better. Scientists at MIT have developed an ultrasound patch which can scan people’s organs as they go about their daily activities. https://www.weforum.org/videos/ultrasound-stickers-can-see-inside-the-body.

MIT hopes to go wireless with the ultrasound sticker.

Whatever the mark of the beast turns out to be, people must refuse to take it. We can’t be a part of the new order of things that’s coming. It will be better to die first. This final test must be passed in order to avoid eternal hell.

Let’s move on with the following scripture:

While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:3)

The apostle Paul doesn’t specify what kind of destruction, but any destruction like this would lead to economic collapse and famine, which has a decisive role to play. People need to avoid this terrible fate now by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord. God’s children will be gathered to Jesus at his coming, on the day of the Lord in Revelation 6:17-18. Revelation 7 explains the rapture.

If the fall of Babylon happens in Revelation 14:8 and is written out in chapter 18, then chapter 17 might provide more details for chapter 13. The following scripture represents the antichrist’s kingdom:

For God has put it into their hearts to carry out his purpose by uniting to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. (Revelation 17:17)

The following scripture from chapter 13 seems to be a general, overall view of what we just read in the previous scripture from chapter 17:

Then the beast was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. (Revelation 13:7)

In Revelation 13:1, it says the ten horns on the seven heads of the beast has ten crowns. In Revelation 17:12, it says the ten horns are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom. In chapter 13, the ten horns already have crowns. In Revelation 17:12, it says that the ten horns (or kings) who have not yet received a kingdom are of one mind and will give their authority to the beast for one hour. This is just enough time to destroy Babylon in chapter 18. Both the beast and its ten horns hate the harlot, and they will “devour her flesh and burn her up with fire” (see Revelation 17:16 and 18:1).

And you, O devastated one, what will you do, though you dress yourself in scarlet, though you adorn yourself with gold jewelry, though you enlarge your eyes with paint? You adorn yourself in vain; your lovers despise you; they want to take your life. (Jeremiah 4:30)

Babylon is destroyed in “one hour” (see Revelation 18:10 and 18:17). We know the woman in Revelation 17:18 represents the great city that has sovereignty over the kings of the earth. The following scripture gives us a glimpse of her destruction:

After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was made bright with his splendor. (Revelation 18:1)

The word authority can also be translated as “force.” Using double fulfillment, this could represent the initial strike on the United States, and it could be an early morning first strike by Russia or China. But this brightness could represent a comet, a meteorite, a CME, or an EMP. Whatever it is, it will most likely disable electric power and be followed by nuclear strikes on various cities. Update January 2, 2021: U.S. officials are reportedly privately worried Russia stole blueprints for U.S. blackout restoration (yahoo.com)

In another scenario, nuclear-tipped cruise missiles could fly around targets in the US at varying altitudes while avoiding radar, and at precise times, strike in waves. This strategy was most likely developed by artificial intelligence. Update: June 10, 2021 – Advanced loitering munitions models are capable of a high degree of autonomy. Once launched, they fly to a defined target area, where they “loiter,” scanning for targets — typically air defense systems. In regard to nuclear weapons, let’s go to Revelation 8:

10 Then the third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star burning like a torch fell from heaven and landed on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. 11 The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter like wormwood oil, and many people died from the bitter waters. (Revelation 8:10-11)

These scriptures might be describing a nuclear weapon and the aftereffects of radiation. The apostle John says, “A great star like a burning torch.” A torch has a long handle with a fire on the end. John might have been describing a missile the best way a man could in 90 AD. The word wormwood might represent a nuclear missile and wormwood oil might represent radiation that turns the water “bitter” (or poisons the water), in which many people will die. People who drink bitter water are cursed, as we read in Number 5:24. This radiated water will cause bitter suffering before death.

It seems reasonable that if a nuclear war began, the City of London, a financial hub, would be one of the first targets, as well as Washington and New York City.

The City of London is the financial district. Within this district is Wormwood Street. The name of the street refers to a plant called wormwood which used to grow on the London Wall and in other areas of wasteland in the City. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wormwood_Street

London is the world’s most international and connected financial centre, providing unrivalled access to global markets. https://www.theglobalcity.uk/global-financial-centre

Russia has underwater drones that have a range of more than 6,000 miles, and its warhead, possibly the Poseidon 2M39 torpedo, is designed to be detonated off the coast of cities to flood them with radioactive waves. Russia could use nuclear weapons with the aim of destroying important coastal elements of the enemy’s economy and inflicting guaranteed unacceptable damage by creating extensive zones of radioactive contamination.

At some point, whether by a great earthquake, a nuclear weapon, a meteorite, or a volcanic eruption, twenty kilometers of land mass from the volcanic island of La Palma, Canary Islands might fall into the ocean causing a mega-tsunami. We can get an idea of a landslide-causing mega-tsunami from the rockslide that happened in Lituya Bay, Alaska, which is an excellent preview of what could come from Cumbre Vieja (Old Summit) on La Palma: https://youtu.be/DPyG5cWT0Fk. Let’s go back a couple of verses from Revelation 8:10-11, which we just read:

8 Then the second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned to blood, 9 third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. (Revelation 8:8-9)

In verse 8, many translations use the English word thrown for the Greek word eblethe. The definition is to “cast, throw, or rush.” In the weaker sense, it means “put, place, or drop.” This could be the 20 kilometers of land mass from La Palma ‘rushing’ into the sea, such as in a great landslide at some point in the future. Some believe this might be a meteorite, and that’s possible. A mega-tsunami from La Palma would inundate the entire east coast of the United States. What good will tunnels and bunkers do against water, and more so if it’s radioactive? So, if Babylon represents the US in double fulfillment, can we use the following prophecy?

The sea has come up on Babylon; she is covered with its tumultuous waves. (Jeremiah 51:42)

Will Jerusalem, Rome, or the ruins of ancient Babylon be covered with tumultuous waves? Has this happened yet?

1 A prophecy against the Valley of Vision: What troubles you now, that you have all gone up on the roofs, 2 you town so full of commotion, you city of tumult and revelry? Your slain were not killed by the sword, nor did they die in battle. (Isaiah 22:1-2)

When we read about the fall of Babylon in Isaiah 21, we know it’s not talking about the literal Babylon because of the very first verse, which says, “The wastelands by the sea” (see Isaiah 21:1), and for the fact that the sea is going to come up on Babylon and it’s going to be covered with “tumultuous waves.” In the following scripture, an angel says that the “great harlot” is seated upon many waters:

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who is seated upon many waters, (Revelation 17:1)

The ruins of ancient Babylon aren’t near the sea, though the ruins have some water around it. Rome is near the sea and the Tiber. Could this be “many waters”?

You who dwell by many waters, rich in treasures, your end has come, the thread of your life is cut. (Jeremiah 51:13)

The United States is surrounded by water, and let’s keep in mind that water is also symbolic of the world.

The United States could be one of the last great empires. The imagery of the statue in Daniel 2 could play out again in the last days, albeit rapidly. The golden head of the statue, Babylon, might symbolize the US in double fulfillment because of the economic empire of the dollar. In history, the Medo-Persian Empire was the silver on the statue, and it overthrew the gold. It was compared to a bear because of its voraciousness. Today, Russia’s symbol is the bear.

This is still a work in process, but China, and eventually, a confederation of 10 nations might play into the symbolism on the statue.

If a natural catastrophic event happens to the United States, the enemies of the US might kick her while she’s down. Nuclear strikes might be followed with a land invasion and occupying forces. This could involve AI robot-soldiers first because of the radiation.

Gog of Magog and his Islamic allies will play a key role in the destruction of the earth. Even though Gog will be temporarily victorious, God will strike the land of Magog:

I will send a fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely in the coastlands, and they shall know that I am the LORD. (Ezekiel 39:6)

For some reason, the United States doesn’t come to Israel’s aid when Gog invades (see Ezekiel 38:13). In Revelation 20:9, it says Gog and Magog marched all over the earth and “surrounded the camp of the saints” and “the beloved city,” which is Jerusalem. We see the word surrounded in Luke 21:20. Jesus tells us that Jerusalem will be surrounded by “armies,” not army. There was only one Roman army in 70 AD, and it had many legions. The armies from the countries mentioned in Ezekiel 38 are in Syria, Libya, Ethiopia or Sudan, and others. No country will come to Israel’s defense. So, whatever happens to the United States could happen to Israel or vice versa.

The Antichrist

We can see a shadow of end-time events prefigured in Judges 9:34-54. Like Hitler, Herod, or Haman from the book of Esther, Abimelech is a type of the beast, or antichrist:

And Abimelech and all the men that were with him rose up by night, and laid wait against Shechem in four companies. (Judges 9:34)

Babylon will go down without much of a defense, as we read in Jeremiah 51:29-32. The Valley of Vision can give us a clue why the United States will go down so easily. Our “breaches will be many” (see Isaiah 22:8-9 and Daniel 11:25). The breaches In the US will be many, due to sabotage, espionage, and artificial intelligence. Here’s a December 17, 2020 update: US cybersecurity agency warns of ‘grave’ threat from hack (yahoo.com).  Whatever the case, the US is set up for failure. Let’s continue in Judges:

And when Gaal saw the men, he said to Zebul, “Look, men are coming down from the mountain tops!” And Zebul said to him, “You see the shadow of the mountains as if they were men.” (Judges 9:36)

Zebul deceived Gaal by saying the men attacking were just shadows of the mountain. So, we may not even believe the end is happening when it happens.

And Abimelech fought against the city all that day; he took the city, and killed the people that were in it; and he razed the city and sowed it with salt. (Judges 9:45)

The blasphemous little horn is the king skilled in intrigue, the king of the north, the eighth king, the antichrist. He is the arrogant one. He will bring about fearful ruin and succeed. His cunning will be against the holy ones. He’ll have a lot of pride and destroy many by stealth (see Daniel 8:23-25). We can see Abimelech’s cunning and stealth in the following scriptures when he attacks the people while they’re gathered together. Strategically speaking, an enemy wants to attack their opponent while they’re at their most vulnerable, such as a holiday or after a natural disaster.

47 And when Abimelech was told that all the leaders in the tower of Shechem were gathered there, 48 he and all his men went up to Mount Zalmon. Abimelech took his axe in his hand and cut a branch from the trees, which he lifted to his shoulder, saying to his men, “Hurry and do what you have seen me do.” 49 So each man also cut his own branch and followed Abimelech. Then they piled the branches against the inner chamber and set it on fire above them, killing everyone in the tower of Shechem, about a thousand men and women. (Judges 9:47-49)

In the book of Revelation, the apostle John tells us that one of the dragon’s heads suffers a mortal wound:

One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth followed the beast with wonder. (Revelation 13:3)

This is prefigured in Judges as well when Abimelech is killed at Thebez:

52 And Abimelech came to the tower, and fought against it, and drew near to the door of the tower to burn it with fire. 53 And a certain woman threw an upper millstone upon Abimelech’s head, and crushed his skull. 54 Then he called hastily to the young man his armor-bearer, and said to him, “Draw your sword and kill me, lest men say of me, ‘A woman killed him.’ ” (Judges 9:52-54)

We can see Abimelech’s pride by not wanting to die from a woman dropping a millstone on his head. So, as he’s dying, he’s ran through with the sword by his armor-bearer. Abimelech was the son of a slave woman, a concubine of Gideon (see Judges 8:31). In the New Testament, the word slave can be taken to mean a slave to sin and death versus those who are free in Jesus Christ, that is, slaves to righteousness―the righteousness that comes from God through faith in Jesus Christ. Some are born of the slave woman and some the free woman (see Galatians 4:31 and Isaiah 51:1-2). Abimelech plotted with his mother’s family to seize a kingship over Shechem. He seized it by fraud and murder, killing his 70 brothers (see Judges 9:1-5; see also Daniel 11:21-22).

Like Abimelech, the antichrist will be a thornbush in which olive trees, fig trees, and grapevines take shade under. The thornbush says, “If you appoint me leader, you’ll get what you ask for.” So, if we choose to take shade under a thornbush, we’ll get stuck with thorns. If we don’t take shade under it, the thornbush will consume us with fire. We’re stuck either way. People will have to take what they get because they chose to give power to an arrogant, little thornbush (see Judges 9:7-15).

31 “Behold, I am against you, O arrogant one,” declares the Lord GOD of Hosts, “for your day has come, the time when I will punish you. 32 The arrogant one will stumble and fall with no one to pick him up. And I will kindle a fire in his cities to consume all those around him.” (Jeremiah 50:31-32)

One of the heads of the dragon, the antichrist, will suffer a mortal head wound, but certainly not by a millstone. It will most likely be an assassination attempt, such as a bullet wound to the back of the head like Abraham Lincoln or JFK. The bullet will exit his right eye, but he’ll live. The world is already being conditioned for the antichrist with the one-eye sign. The abomination that causes desolation will probably be a transhuman, like an AI robot.

In Daniel 7, the second beast is a bear with three ribs in its mouth. As God took a rib from Adam to create Eve, so men will attempt to recreate themselves through AI. Such is the notion of genome editing (CRSPR) or people’s brains being wired using a technology like Neuralink. https://youtu.be/awt5olRHtDo.

In regard to iron mixed with clay, let’s read this scripture:

And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. (Daniel 2:43)

So, Neuralink or a similar technology won’t work for too long.

Some believe that a third strand of artificial DNA will be created from aluminum in the body from chemical trails. If true (highly unlikely), the aluminum in the body combined with high doses of microwave radiation from 5G or 6G technology would cook people, and globalists and elitists are supposed to be fully aware of this. It’s true that globalists want to reduce earth’s population. They actually believe they’re going to be the only ones left on earth on some kind of everlasting, utopian society. These people want to live forever on their own terms. But God has a plan of his own, and he wins.

The desolating abomination, the image of the beast, will eventually make its way to Jerusalem and stand (or be set up) in the holy place and claim he’s God (see 2 Thessalonians 2:4). But he won’t be run through by his armor-bearer like Abimelech. He’ll be broken, but not by human power:

And the lawless one will be revealed, and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of his mouth and destroy him by his appearing and his coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:8)

The following scripture offers evidence that the arrogant little horn, the antichrist, and the beast are one and the same:

I looked then because of the sound of the great words which the horn was speaking. And as I looked, the beast was slain, and its body destroyed and given over to be burned with fire. (Daniel 7:11; see also 7:20, Revelation 13:5 and 19:20, and 1 John 4:1)

We’ll have to wait to see who gets a millstone dropped on his head to find out who the antichrist is for sure.

The following scripture is an oracle on Babylon:

The LORD of hosts has sworn by himself: Surely I will fill you with men, as many as locusts, and they shall raise the shout of victory over you. (Jeremiah 51:14)

The occupying armies will be like locusts. We can use the following scripture as an example:

For a nation has come up against my land, powerful and without number; its teeth are lions’ teeth, and it has the fangs of a lioness. (Joel 1:6; cf. Revelation 9:7-8)

In the following prophecy, it refers to four different types of locusts:

What the cutting locusts left, the swarming locust has eaten. What the swarming locust left, the hopping locust has eaten, and what the hopping locust left, the destroying locust has eaten. (Joel 1:4)

Here we have the cutting locust, the swarming locust, the hopping locust, and the destroying locust. These locusts will eat vegetation down to nothing. We know that locusts can cause famine, and there are locusts swarms happening in many places today, but locusts can also represent a great army:

I will repay you for the years eaten by locusts—the swarming locust, the young locust, the destroying locust, and the devouring locust—My great army that I sent against you. (Joel 2:25)

When the Midianites gathered against Israel, it says their tents were as thick as locusts (see Judges 6:5). The word tent is often used in reference to the body, not the spirit or a literal tent (see 2 Corinthians 5:1 and 2 Peter 1:13).

Four armies could occupy and divide Israel (and/or the former United States) into four sections.

When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and made four parts, one for each soldier. But his tunic was without seam, woven from top to bottom; (John 19:23)

At first, they will be lawless and brutal, committing many atrocities. The only command given to these locusts will be not to harm the grass of the earth, plants, or trees. This is an odd command for actual locusts because we know they like to eat green plants (see Amos 7:2). This could possibly mean that only major cities will be struck by nuclear weapons and the land will be spared, possibly for future agriculture. Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea could get troops to the US, packing them on empty, oil supertankers.

The locusts we read about in Revelation 9 might represent China. It’s well known that China could field an army of 200 million soldiers if it had to, men and women. In verse 16, the apostle John mentions these 200 million. We know for this is to be taken literally because John says, “I heard their number.” Some believe these are demons that come from the abyss, and we can’t rule this out. Verse 6 goes on to say that people will long to die, but death will escape them. Could this be a preview of hell as a warning for the unrepentant?

After a round-up of survivors, many to internment camps (possibly Wal-Mart/FEMA camps complete with railway access and tunnels), the mark of the beast, possibly having something to do with AI and cryptocurrency, might make its appearance. It could be from a country that thinks it has control of AI, such as Russia or China.

We can see how the Chinese Communist Party uses a technological dictatorship to control its people, and most find comfort in their chains. The CCP is a good example of the soon-to-come beast system with its control, social credit, and Christian persecution. We can see the CCP as a shadow of things to come. China may or may not have a role to play when Gog invades Israel, but it will most likely have a role to play when it comes to the destruction of Babylon.

Xinjiang province in western China has a people called the Uyghurs. These Muslim people of Turkish descent are brutally treated by the Chinese government. Most males are in internment camps. Islam is not speaking up or coming to the aid of their fellow Muslims, but some Jews have spoken up: Holocaust Memorial Day: Jewish figures condemn Uighur persecution | Genocide News | Al Jazeera. The following story is a preview of things to come: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/survivors-and-victims-on-shocking-state-sanctioned-organ-harvesting-in-china/ar-AAJp1Qn?ocid=spartandhp. In the end times, the organs of beheaded saints might be harvested, just as they’re being harvested today from others.

China could represent the “kings from the east” as described in Revelation 16:12, possibly to “trample whatever is left.” Let’s keep in mind that Vladivostok, Russia used to be part of China, part of the Qing’s Manchurian homeland. It was annexed in 1860 by the Tsarist empire following China’s defeat by Britain and France in the second opium war. The name Vladivostok means ruler of the east. So, both China and Russia could represent the ‘kings of the east.’

In regard to the mark of the beast, although the text says on the right hand, it could be implanted in the right hand or forehead in order to track and monitor people as they become a part of the satanic, new-world order. Do not take the mark of the beast. It will be better to die first. Do not commit suicide. There’s no forgiveness for suicide (see John 8:21-22). Whoever wishes to preserve their life by becoming part of the new world order (One People, One World) by taking the mark of the beast, will receive eternal torment in hell.

Many will be beheaded who refuse the mark of the beast, those who stay faithful to Jesus Christ (see Revelation 20:4). Those who are subjected to the final test must know and believe they’re saved in Jesus Christ when they call on him and refuse to take part in the beast system, not worshiping the beast or its image. The new world order will probably use a cryptocurrency and be controlled by AI. As God manifested himself naturally through childbirth, so Satan will manifest himself by artificially through AI.

Like the United States, ancient Babylon was a land of merchants:

Then you increased your promiscuity to include Babylonia, a land of merchants, but even with this you were not satisfied. (Ezekiel 16:29)

The sad thing about the fall of Babylon is that the only people who mourn and weep are merchants, those who got rich engaging in trade and commerce (see Revelation 18:9-13). The following scripture can remind us of a catastrophic event:

The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn (Revelation 18:15; see also verses 16-18)

The merchants will “stand far off” and be “terrified at her torment.” The United States belongs to God. It became the land of milk and honey for the children of God who left England because of religious persecution. This land had to be fought for as the Israelites fought for the promised land, and the gospel was spread throughout the land to the Native Americans, saving many. What played out for Israel in the Old Testament is playing out for the US. The instruments of God’s wrath on the unrighteous of the earth will be natural disasters, nuclear weapons, disease, famine, and possibly cosmic events (see Luke 21:26).

They come from a distant land, from the end of the heavens, the LORD and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole earth. (Isaiah 13:5)

In the fifth trumpet blast, a star falls to the earth and is given the “key to the abyss” in which smoke comes out. This smoke is what darkens the sky. From this smoke comes locusts:

Before them the earth quakes; the heavens tremble. The sun and moon grow dark, and the stars lose their brightness. (Joel 2:10)

Some believe the key to the abyss has a connection with CERN since it’s built over the abyss of the destroyer Apollyon. Supposedly, CERN needs a certain amount of energy to open some demonic portal they’ve allegedly been messing with, which if true, is nothing but a wormhole to hell. Demons could manifest themselves and come out from the abyss “as many as locusts” as we read in Revelation 9.

A catastrophic event such as a great earthquake or cosmic event will be so devastating it will knock the earth from its orbit to a degree. This alone will cause many natural disasters.

Therefore, I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place, at the wrath of the LORD of hosts in the day of his fierce anger. (Isaiah 13:13)

19 The earth is utterly broken, the earth is rent asunder, the earth is violently shaken. 20 The earth staggers like a drunken man, it sways like a hut; its transgression lies heavy upon it, and it falls, and will not rise again. (Isaiah 24:19-20; see also Revelation 11:18)

In our compassion for our fellow human beings, it might be difficult to understand why this would happen. In Genesis, Abraham tried to talk God out of destroying Sodom. He asked God that if fifty righteous people were in Sodom would he spare it. God said he would. Then he asked if forty-five righteous people were found if God would spare it. God said he would. Abraham asked all the way to down to ten. God said he would spare Sodom if ten righteous people could be found (see Genesis 18:24-32). Relatively speaking, when the end comes, there will probably be less than ten percent of righteous people on earth, yet some will be saved by calling on our Lord Jesus Christ. These end-time catastrophes might put some people on the path to eternal life, even though it won’t seem like it at the time. God will attempt to save us from ourselves. He tries to pull us away from the evil we’re stuck under.

Do not be like the horse or mule, which have no understanding; they must be controlled with bit and bridle to make them come to you. (Psalm 32:9)

Ultimately, the choice is ours. Most people are on the broad road to destruction. People will have to choose to call on Jesus Christ when these things take place. Don’t wait until disaster strikes. Now is the time to accept Jesus as Lord and savior and turn from wrongdoing. Let’s love the Lord our God and our neighbors and walk in obedience to Jesus Christ and God’s commandments.

From the time the desolating abomination is set up (see Daniel 12:11) or standing (see Matthew 24:15) in the holy place, there will be 1290 days (three and a half years of tribulation). This is the exact amount of time (42 months) given to the beast in Revelation 13:5. The time of tribulation is when people will need to put their faith and hope in Jesus Christ. It’ll be better to die and receive everlasting life rather than to worship the image of the beast and accept its mark. Do not become a part of the new-world order. This new system of things may even appear to be a good thing. It will be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Jesus Christ is returning soon, but the antichrist will come first, and only God knows the appointed time of these events. Jesus came as a lamb 2000 years ago, and he’s returning as a lion.

They shall go after the LORD, he will roar like a lion; yea he will roar, and his sons shall come trembling from the west; (Hosea 11:10)

A king’s rage is like the roar of a lion, but his favor is like the dew of the grass (Proverbs 19:12)

Jesus Christ will judge everyone impartially according to their works and deeds.

Thus God repaid the wickedness of Abimelech, which he did to his father in killing his seventy brothers; (Judges 9:56)

People who own firearms think they can hold off an invading army of locusts bent on pillaging, raping, and destruction. These locust armies (or army) will be hungry. Let’s not put our faith in the sword. Whoever lives by the sword, like Esau from Genesis 27:40, will die by the sword (see Matthew 26:52). Can we kill every single locust when they swarm? Vengeance belongs to the Lord. There’s better than this world to come:

I consider that the sufferings of the present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (Romans 8:18)

In Luke 10:3, Jesus sent the disciples out as lambs among wolves without a money bag, sack, or sandals. Jesus was teaching them to trust in him. In Luke 22:35, Jesus is expressing the dangers the disciples will be exposed to in the world when he leaves. He reminds them of the time they trusted him when he sent them out as lambs. Jesus emphasizes that now, more than ever, they should have faith in him. If not, then they’ll have to put their faith in the sword because the time is coming in which they’re going to need one. So, what did the disciples do? They saw a couple of swords in the room and took them. This resulted in Peter cutting off a man’s ear during the arrest of Jesus, and it didn’t prevent anything (see John 18:10). The apostles didn’t understand that Jesus was telling them to trust in him.

Let’s not put off until tomorrow what we can do right now. Let’s not wait until the final seven years begin to call on the name of the Lord. We should put our hope, faith, and love in Jesus Christ now. Let’s not put our faith in the sword when the appointed time of the end begins. Let’s trust in the power of God through Jesus Christ our savior and receive the crown of eternal joy. We will be with God on a new earth.

17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered nor come into mind. 18 But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a delight, and her people a joy. (Isaiah 65:17-18)
