I was just standing there. All of a sudden I had terrible hunger pain so severe that it doubled me over. After a moment, I felt something crawling on the back of my leg. I looked down, and there was a single locust crawling out from behind my leg just above the knee.
This dream was from early 2019. I interpreted the locust crawling out from behind my leg with the metaphor, to hamstring. To hamstring means to make powerless. Famine can make everything powerless. Both war and famine are coming. We know this from the word of God.
Second Dream of Famine (2020)
It was a beautiful day, and there was a huge, outdoor buffet. It was in a country like England, and it might have even been England. I went around the table filling my plate with many different kinds of food. The last thing I put on my plate was a small salad. I poured way too much oil on it, and all of a sudden, the oil drained from the salad like water draining from a sink. After the oil drained, the wind started blowing. It started getting stronger and stronger. Sand and dust were flying through the air. I turned my back to the wind to protect my food. I started looking around for shelter so I could eat. I saw some small buildings to my right, and as I watched, they were engulfed with the sand and dust. There was nowhere to go so I could eat. Then I thought, I’m going to get one bite of my mashed potatoes before this sand and dust overtakes me. I got a huge spoonful of mashed potatoes and raised it to my mouth, and before I could eat it, I woke up.
When the storm of famine comes, there will be nowhere to hide. The fact that this dream took place in a country like England tells me that food shortages and famine may not be isolated to just third-world countries.
Third Dream of Famine (October 2021):
I walked into a room and saw two groups of people. One group was holding an oversized loaf of bread and the other group was holding an oversized chocolate cake without icing. They were just standing there, frozen in time, their hands on the food, at the ready, waiting to tear it apart.
This dream might serve to tell us that famine will happen at the appointed time. We don’t know when, so let’s be ready. We should prepare, beginning with our own household. If possible, we should be ready to help others, according to our ability (see Acts 11:28-29).
Famine could begin with food shortages followed by hyperinflation. Famine is just one of the labor pains Jesus Christ talks about:
There will be great earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places, along with fearful sights and great signs from heaven. (Luke 21:11)
Famine is a terrible judgment. It’s better to die by the sword than hunger:
Those slain by the sword are better off than those who die of hunger, who waste away, pierced with pain because the fields lack produce. (Lamentations 4:9)
Famine can be caused by extreme weather and locusts. In the past several years, we’ve seen the biggest locust swarms in 70 years.

Extreme weather and locusts around the world are going to cause food shortages, inflation, and eventually famine. The following story is from August 25, 2020: https://www.yahoo.com/news/iowa-farmers-warn-looming-crisis-191908971.html
Famine can come from war and famine can lead to war. If a country is out of food and starving to death, what do they have to lose? What if they have nuclear weapons like China or North Korea? Famine will have a major role to play in the coming mark of the beast. People won’t be allowed to buy and sell unless they take the mark. It will be better to starve to death first.
Only God knows the appointed time of the end, and everyday we’re getting closer. Now is the time to accept God’s promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ our savior. So, in these end times, let’s accept Jesus Christ as Lord and turn from wrongdoing. Let’s avoid the terrible fate of hell and receive eternal life with God. Let’s keep the faith no matter what we might have to endure.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? (Romans 8:35)
