Climate Change—The Earth is Wearing Out

The earth is dying. It’s wearing out like an old t-shirt. When we wear our favorite t-shirt for a long time, it fades, gets thin, and develops holes:

“The earth will wear out like a garment.”

This is what we’re seeing with the earth. We still love the old t-shirt, but can we make it new? Can we sew a patch on it?

No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the new piece will pull away from the old, and a worse tear will result. (Mark 2:21)

We can’t sew a new patch on old cloth, or the hole will get worse. But this is what the world is trying to do. No matter what good we try to do to help the earth, nothing is going to stop the process of climate change. In fact, we may do more harm than good, such as endangering our food supply. We have to accept the fact that the climate is changing and it’s going to get worse from here. There is an end of time coming. Those who say climate change is a natural cycle are wrong. Here’s some evidence of the worsening climate and other records that are being broken: https://futileworld.com/2021/07/20/a-dying-world-the-pains-of-childbirth/

Let’s read an excerpt from the latest NOAA report in regard to the worsening of the climate:

In a report released on Wednesday, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration found that climate change continued to worsen in 2021, setting new records for greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere that helped push sea levels and ocean heat content to record highs. https://www.yahoo.com/news/noaa-greenhouse-gas-concentrations-global-sea-levels-and-ocean-heat-hit-record-highs-in-2021-212944097.html

Climate Activist

The young will rise against the old, and the base against the honorable.

“We are still here, and we are not planning on going anywhere. Young people all over the world are stepping up, showing that our leaders messed with the wrong generation.”

As the earth continues to die, climate activists will start getting more extreme. Many people, like some celebrities, are already being shamed and labeled with the phrase climate criminals.

Climate change activists are, and will be, instrumental in putting our food sources in jeopardy. In April 2022, the Wildlife Fishing Conservancy, a Washington state nonprofit conservation organization, filed a preliminary injunction to halt the fishery “until NOAA proves the harvest wouldn’t starve endangered southern resident killer whales.”  The WFC was trying to keep the summer chinook season from opening in order to protect killer whales from starving, like killer whales need the help of the WFC. However, in March 2023, salmon fishing was banned because of drought: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/california-cancels-salmon-fishing-season-drought/

People in the world also blame cattle and the agricultural industry for climate change, that will most likely put another food source in jeopardy. Let’s listen to the world:

Cattle play a colossal role in climate change: As the single largest agricultural source of methane, a potent planet-warming gas, the world’s 940 million bovines spew nearly 10 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions — much of it through belches and droppings.

Climate activists have dumped out milk in grocery stores and defaced works of art in museums in order to bring attention to climate change and the burning of fossil fuels. In the following image, climate activists threw soup on a famous Van Gogh painting and glued their hands to the wall:

Common people are becoming activists without having a formal climate education, saying things like, we need to stop sitting around and become “doists”:

The time has come where we need to become not just activists, but doists. https://news.yahoo.com/voices-climate-change-activism-no-104559613.html

Benjamin Cook, a climate scientist for NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, said that climate “doists” don’t know what they’re talking about. Cook went on to say that at the end of the day, the only thing that can adequately explain the degree of warming that we’ve seen for the last 150 years is human greenhouse gas emissions, primarily through the burning of fossil fuels.

Some scientists say that human activity is ultimately to be blamed for climate change, because we’re responsible for the agricultural industry and the burning of fossil fuels. Read the three following stories:

Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, and increased amounts cause heating. In this case, the human increment is not small. https://www.yahoo.com/news/climate-change-relentless-seemingly-small-121337894.html

damning report was released by the U.N. on Monday. The landmark study by climate researchers warned of the “unprecedented” ways human activity is changing the Earth’s climate. https://www.msn.com/en-us/weather/topstories/wildfires-rage-across-the-world-as-un-releases-damning-climate-change-report/ar-AAN9WSi

“How hot it gets is still up to us.” -Dr. Kim Cobb, Professor in the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech University. https://www.yahoo.com/news/climate-change-do-individual-actions-really-matter-184206858.html

How hot it gets is not up to us. Bill Gates insinuated that we can only get climate change under control by controlling the people, because they’re not going to change their lifestyle:

Speaking on Thursday’s episode of Bloomberg’s “Zero” podcast, Gates said expectations that people were going to “utterly change their lifestyle because of concerns about climate” were “unrealistic.”

“You can have a cultural revolution where you’re trying to throw everything up, you can create a North Korean-type situation where the state’s in control,” he said. “Other than immense central authority to have people just obey, I think the collective action problem is just completely not solvable.” https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/bill-gates-says-telling-people-to-stop-eating-meat-and-buying-houses-will-never-solve-climate-change/ar-AA12r20o?cvid=221b858f4371411496597a5929c76095

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the world is racing toward a climate change disaster. “Let’s face facts. The problem is not simply fossil fuel emissions.  It’s fossil fuels — period.” https://news.yahoo.com/un-chief-slams-pitiful-world-182622699.html

Whoever or whatever has caused climate change doesn’t really matter at this point. But Guterres agrees that the world is racing towards disaster.

The world is coming to an end, but God’s salvation lasts forever:

Lift up your eyes to the heavens and look at the earth below; for the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment, and its people will die likewise. But my salvation will last forever, and my righteousness will never fail. (Isaiah 51:5)

The fact that people are going to die like flies might disturb us, but this fits with the book of Revelation. Let’s remember that the promise of God is eternal life for those saved in Jesus Christ. God’s salvation will last forever.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. (Revelation 21:1)

Before the end begins, let’s accept Jesus Christ as Lord, turn from evil and do good, love the Lord our God and our fellow human beings, and receive the crown of joy that will never fade.
